## Overview

Sweatpals uses Stripe Connect for all host payouts and transactions.

Creating your Stripe Connect account is required before you can receive payments from ticket sales or memberships.

**Important:** By default, clicking **Connect Stripe** creates a new Stripe Express account under Sweatpals. It's separate from any Stripe account you may already have.

If you already have a Standard Stripe account and would like to connect it instead, or need your account created in a different country, contact support\@sweatpals.com before connecting and our team will help you set it up.

## Before You Start

Once your community is created, it needs to be verified by our team before you can initiate the connection process with Stripe. Normally this verification takes up to 1 hour, but in some instances, we may require additional information from you. 

In those cases, we'll send a message to your registered email address or phone number requesting one of the following:

- Your business website URL
- Your business Instagram handle or link
- Your business LinkedIn page

We'll review that information as soon as we receive it, and then complete the verification.

## Setting Up Banking

1. Open [dashboard.sweatpals.com](https://dashboard.sweatpals.com)
2. Select the **Transactions **tab
3. Select the **Connect Stripe** button
4. Click **Set Up Payouts** 
5. Complete Stripe’s onboarding flow, including: 
   - Legal name / business entity 
   - Banking details (**ACH recommended**) 
   - Tax information (**SSN or EIN**) 
6. Once complete, you’ll be redirected back to your **Sweatpals Dashboard**

### Verification Checklist

- Ensure your **bank supports electronic transfers**&#x20;
- Match your **Stripe email** with your **Sweatpals login**&#x20;
- Use your **Sweatpals community page URL** for Website URL
- Review your payout schedule under **Stripe → Settings → Payouts**&#x20;
