## Overview

All payments on Sweatpals are processed securely through **Stripe**, the same provider used by your hosts.

## Understanding Charges

| Charge Type             | Description                             |
| ----------------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| **Event Ticket**        | One‑time purchase for a specific event. |
| **Membership Renewal**  | Recurring billing until canceled.       |
| **Promo Code Discount** | Reduction applied at checkout.          |

## Updating your Payment Method

You can update the payment method saved to your Sweatpals account **from the mobile app only**.

1. Open the **Sweatpals mobile app**. 
2. Tap your **Profile**. 
3. Open **Settings**. 
4. Select **Payment Methods**. 
5. Tap **Add Payment Method** to add a new card. 
6. Enter your card details and save them. 
7. If you have more than one payment method saved, select the card you want to use and set it as your **Preferred** payment method. 

Your preferred payment method will be used for future eligible purchases and recurring membership renewals.
