## Setting up Google Tag

### Before you start

- Have a Google account and access to the relevant Google product (Analytics or Ads).
- Have already created an Analytics property (or Google Ads account with conversion tracking) if applicable.
- The event selector may only display the first event in a recurring series. Once you submit, the tracking ID should apply to the entire event series.

### Find Your Google Tag ID

The tag ID looks like this: `G-XXXXXXXXXX`.

**In Google Analytics:**

1. Sign in to Google Analytics.
2. Go to **Admin** → **Data Streams** (under your property).
3. Select your web data stream.
4. Under **Google tag**, click **Configure tag settings** → find your **Google tag** ID.

**In Google Ads:**

1. Sign in to Google Ads.
2. Go to **Tools** → **Data Manager** → **Google tag**.
3. Click **Manage** → under **Tag details** find & copy your tag ID.

### Installing the ID

Once you have the tag ID:

- Access the **Integrations **menu in the Sweatpals dashboard.
- Select **Add Pixel** under **Google Tag**, and enter your ID

Once that's done:

- Data collection typically begins within **\~30 min**.
- You can later **verify** the tag in Analytics or Ads.
- Use Debug tools (GA4 DebugView or Google Tag Assistant browser extension) to confirm events firing correctly.

You can refer to further setup instructions with [this article](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/15756614?sjid=14329875122717991218-SA) from Google.

### Troubleshooting

If the data is not exported to your Tag after completing the Integration process, access the **Configure your domains **menu in your Google Tag Settings, and add our domain to it: ([http://sweatpals.com/](http://sweatpals.com/))

## Setting up Meta Pixel

### Before you start

Ensure your Meta Pixel ID has been created. If you haven't set one up, you'll need to create it first in the Data Sources section of your Meta Business account , and the ID will be generated during that process. You can refer to [this article](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/952192354843755?id=1205376682832142) from Meta for instructions on how to create your first ID.

### Finding your Meta Pixel ID

1. Log in to your **Meta Business **account.
2. Click on "All tools" in the left menu and select **Events Manager**.
3. In Events Manager, choose the correct data source (your Pixel) from the right side menu.
4. Find the ID**:**
 1. The Pixel ID is often displayed right under the Pixel's name in parentheses.
 2. Alternatively, click the **Settings** (gear icon) tab for your Pixel, and you'll find the Dataset ID (Pixel ID) in the details section.
5. **Copy the ID:** Click the "Copy" button next to the ID to copy it to your clipboard.

### Installing the ID

- Access the **Integrations **menu in the Sweatpals dashboard.
- Select **Add Pixel** under **Meta Pixel**, and enter your ID
