🧘 3.3 Membership Access & Cancellations
use, renew, or cancel your membership with ease accessing your membership open profile → memberships view active plans and benefits tap any membership to see included events, credits, or perks 🌟 if a host offers member‑only events, you’ll see a “book with membership” option on eligible pages renewals and billing dates recurring plans renew automatically on their billing cycle (date shown on membership card) you’ll receive a notification 24 hours before each renewal charges apply to your default payment method on file \ if a promo code is used when starting a membership, the discount will only apply on the initial payment during the automatic renewal, the membership's full price will be charged to your registered payment method upgrading/downgrading memberships at this time, upgrading or downgrading a membership requires canceling the existing membership and enrolling in a new one depending on when you want the change to take effect, there are two available options option 1 change at the end of the billing cycle (recommended) this option allows the member to keep access until their current billing period ends and avoids any refunds how to initiate navigate to the member’s active membership click the three dots (⋮) next to the membership select “cancel at period end ” what happens next the member retains access to their current membership through the end of the billing cycle on their next billing date, the membership will expire once expired, the member can enroll in any new membership (upgrade or downgrade) example if the next billing date is 2/7/26 , the member will retain access until that date and can purchase a new membership starting 2/7/26 option 2 immediate change (host managed) this option allows the membership change to take effect right away and is managed at the host’s discretion how it works contact support to revoke access to the member’s current membership the host can issue a full or partial (prorated) refund through their stripe express account, if desired once access has been revoked, the member can immediately purchase the new membership (upgrade or downgrade) from the memberships page refund amounts and eligibility are determined by the host, as payments are processed directly through stripe note our team is actively working on a more seamless upgrade/downgrade feature that will allow members to switch plans without manual cancellation, refunds, or re enrollment canceling a membership go to profile → memberships (or access the https //attendee sweatpals com/ ) tap the plan you want to cancel select cancel membership confirm cancellation type effect recurring plan access continues until the end of the current billing period prepaid pack you can still use remaining credits until they expire ⚠️ canceling after your renewal date does not automatically refund the charge the host reserves the right to cancel a membership at their discretion, without prior notice ⚠️ want to rejoin after canceling? visit the community's profile to sign up for a new membership plan refunds and billing support refund eligibility depends on the host’s policy you can request a refund directly from the host by accesing the " tickets " tab, if refunds are enabled you'll be able to cancel your ticket if approved, refunds usually arrive within 3–5 business days
