Create meaningful engagement through posts, chats, and guidelines
Overview
Your community page is more than an event hub โ itโs a digital space where members can connect, share updates, and stay informed. Sweatpals provides simple communication tools to keep your members engaged and aligned with your values.
Community Chats
Community Chats let hosts and members communicate directly within the Sweatpals app.
How to Find Chats
- Go to Mobile App โ Switch to host mode โ Tap on the Chat bubble.
- Select your community group or event-specific chat.
- Type your message or upload an image/GIF.
- Click Send.
Creating a New Chat Room
On top of community and event-specific chat rooms (referred to as channels), you can also manually create a new one in case you'd like to keep a channel exclusive for certain topics, or include individual members from your community.
- After tapping the chat bubble icon, scroll down and find the +Add Channel button.
- Select the name for your new channel.
- Choose between adding all your community members to it, or only individual members.
Once the channel is created, you can manage more options in the More (...) button, including:
- Invite Friends, in case you'd like to include new members post-creation.
- Mute, if you'd prefer to not receive notifications for that channel.
- View member to check on the current list of members.
- Leave quietly, removing the channel from your chat page.
- Delete channel, removing all messages from the channel.
How to Send Direct Messages
- Go to Mobile App โ Switch to host mode โ Select the Dashboard tab.
- Select the Members option.
- Select the community member, then tap on the Chat Bubble.

Community Posts
Posts allow hosts to broadcast updates, share announcements, or feature members.
Creating a Post
- Go to Dashboard โ Community โ Posts.
- Click Create Post.
- Add text, photo, or link.
- Click Publish.

Community Guidelines
Each host sets their own tone โ but all communities must follow Sweatpalsโ Global Community Guidelines, which prohibit harassment, spam, or unsafe behavior.
Setting Local Guidelines
- Navigate to Community โ Settings โ Guidelines.
- Add your own code of conduct.
- Save and publish โ members must agree when joining.
