🧮 6.2 Pricing Tools & Strategies
Manage pricing, promotions, and fee allocation for events and memberships
Overview
Sweatpals offers simple, transparent tools to help you set prices and run promotions. All payments are processed through Stripe, and fees are visible at checkout.
Promo Codes
Set custom promo codes that can apply across your experiences and plans. Allow your audience to get partial or full discounts for strategic plays.
Creating promo codes
Promo codes are set up at the community level: create a code once, choose where it applies, and manage everything from the Promo codes tab. The tab also shows each code's redemptions and attributed sales.
Simply:
- Open dashboard.sweatpals.com
- Select Promo codes
- Click +Create
- Enter a Code and, if you'd like, an internal Description
- Discount Value: set it as a percentage (%) or a fixed amount ($)
- Assignment Scope: choose which events or plans the code applies to
- Promo duration: for plans with recurring payments, choose whether the discount applies to all billing cycles or only to the first ones
- Under Eligibility & Limits, set any of the following:
- First-time purchase only: Only allow customers who haven't purchased before.
- Stackable with other codes: Allow this code to be combined with other discount codes.
- Expiration date, Limit total uses and Minimum purchase amount: control when the code stops working, how many times it can be used, and the minimum purchase it needs.
- Click Create Code, or Save as Draft to finish later
Editing/Deleting existing promo codes
At any time, you can navigate to the Promo codes tab and edit or delete an existing promo code by selecting the ••• menu next to the code.
Legacy Promo Codes
Codes created inside individual events or plans before promo codes moved to the community level are marked Legacy. They still work and can be deleted, but they can't be edited. To change one, create a new community-level code and delete the legacy one.
Can I offer group discounts?
Yes. Use group options for families or teams. Examples:
- “Buy 4 Tickets, Get 1 Free”: create a Group Ticket for 5 at 80% of the individual price."
- “Friends Pack”: set Group Size = 3, Discount = 10%.
Use group discounts for recurring events and community sessions.
