learn how to collect payments for memberships, experiences, and custom charges directly from your sweatpals dashboard overview the sweatpals point of sale (pos) feature allows you to process payments at the front desk directly from your desktop dashboard with pos, you can sign members up for memberships, book experiences, and add custom charges — all in one place accessing pos on desktop click the shop icon at the top of your sweatpals dashboard to open the pos interface from here, you can toggle between all , experiences , memberships , and custom charges 💡 tip pin the purchase types you use most frequently for quicker access this feature is rolling out to users over time, but you can reach out to your success manager in order to get it enabled for your commuinty building your cart click memberships , experiences , or use the search bar to find what you need for one off items like water bottles or mat rentals, click the custom button select the desired item — it will appear in the cart on the right panel click actions to apply a discount or promo code select add custom discount to enter a dollar ($) or percentage (%) amount, or enter an existing promo code the discount will automatically apply to the cart you can remove discounts or items from the cart at any time ⚠️ important custom discounts and promo codes apply to the first billing cycle only they do not carry over to subsequent billing cycles connecting a card reader (first time setup) if you have a card reader that hasn't been set up yet, follow these steps before processing payments at checkout, click reader if not yet connected, it will show as disconnected click + add another to register a new device enter the registration id shown on the device add a custom device name for easy identification click add to complete registration once connected, the device will show as online / ready click exit to return to checkout 🔧 troubleshooting if the device isn't connecting, make sure it's connected to wi fi you must be conencted to the same wi fi as the device checking out a customer when your cart is ready, click checkout you'll then need to look up or create a customer profile existing customer search for the customer by email address or phone number click their name from the results select credit card to charge a card on file, or click + add a new credit card to manually enter card details new customer click + add new to create a new profile enter the customer's personal details (name, phone number, email) click continue to proceed to payment payment methods after selecting or creating a customer profile, choose how the customer will pay card reader select reader the amount owed will display on the device — the customer can swipe their card or use tap to pay credit card on file / manual entry select credit card to charge a saved card or enter new card details qr code select qr code and have the member scan to complete payment on their own device once payment is complete, a payment successful screen will confirm the transaction acquiring a device if you don't have a device to process payments yet, you can order one through stripe's website, in their https //stripe com/en br/terminal/devices sweatpals supports the following models stripe reader s700 bbpos wisepos e (referred to internally as “wirepos e”)
